The Resilient File System ReFS is already activated by default for this Windows version. SMB Direct supports RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access). This allows integrated network cards to operate with lower latency and lower CPU usage. This is particularly helpful when outsourcing larger amounts of data to a connected network. For all users who process large amounts of data and use special storage systems, this function in Windows 10 Pro for Workstation should be a valuable addition. In general, Microsoft's hardware support is also being expanded. In this way, workstations with up to four separate CPUs can be used in the future. Ultimately, the Windows 10 Pro for Workstation operating system enables an immense number of cores that would otherwise only be used by servers.
